MJETeco: Digital printing unit of the KURZ Group impresses with quality and efficiency

Fürth/Germany, September 01, 2022: Sought and found - Münster druck design, the specialist for champagne and wine labels in Oestrich-Winkel, Hesse, will in future rely on the MJETeco digital printing unit from MPRINT. LEONHARD KURZ’s subsidiary is a global manufacturer of digital printing and finishing machines for the graphics industry. MJETeco has been designed for the efficient subsequent customization of labels that have already been finished and designed. This allows lettering, QR, and barcodes to be applied in crisp and clean resolution.

Exceptional print quality and speed

With the MJETeco, MPRINT relies on proven monojet® technology, which ensures outstanding print quality and can be applied to a wide range of substrates - including difficult, open-pore materials. UV LED curable inks are used, which allows both conventional (flexo or offset printing) and digitally printed labels to be overprinted and customized. In addition to the versatile application possibilities, the machine is also distinguished by its impressive speed of up to 75 m/min. This makes it possible to efficiently customize large quantities in a short period of time without any problems.

MJETeco impresses in live demonstrations

Münster druck design was able to experience the advantages of the digital printing unit first-hand during the KURZ LABEL WEEKS. At the large in-house exhibition on the premises of the company's headquarters in Fürth, LEONHARD KURZ is presenting innovative solutions for surface finishing in the label and packaging sector as well as an extensive range of machines - including the MJETeco - in an area of more than 400 square meters. “We were looking for a unit to customize wine labels that had already been finished by overprinting primarily natural papers in high quality. It was important to us to focus on the quality of digital printing on our customers’ substrates - and the KURZ LABEL WEEKS gave us the perfect opportunity to explore this,” explains Klaus Münster, Managing Director of Münster druck design, and continues: “We printed our customer-specific material directly on site at KURZ as part of live jobs and joined forces to optimize the print image. On the one hand, we were excited to see the straightforward operation of the machine. On the other hand, the outstanding print quality and the high speed were very impressive. Last but not least, the unit’s flexibility was an argument as well; it can be easily expanded with various optional components, making it even better suited to our individual requirements.”

The digital printing unit will be delivered to Münster druck design after KURZ LABEL WEEKS ends.
