As the world's leading trade fair for creative packaging design, it will once again bring together manufacturers, designers, and brands from around the world in 2025. Lead the change,’ LEONHARD KURZ will present itself as an innovative driving force in the field of surface finishing - with solutions that bring luxury to life while also being future-proof.

Precise finishing with hot stamping and H+M embossing dies

KURZ has been an integral part of LUXE PACK for many years – and this year it is once again demonstrating how haptic and visual highlights can be combined with sustainability and technical precision. The embossing dies from the subsidiary Hinderer + Mühlich will also be on display again this year as an integral part of the exhibition. The tools stand for the highest technical precision and are the basis for high-quality hot stamping solutions. With impressive relief embossing and the finest micro and nano embossing patterns, the tools demonstrate how packaging, labels, and print products can be finished precisely and impressively. In combination with KURZ foils, this creates a wide range of haptic and visual design options.

Design diversity with innovative KURZ decors

With product lines such as LUXOR^®/ALUFIN^®, LIGHT LINE^®, COLORIT^®, LUMAFIN^® and the latest product family SILVER LINE^®, KURZ demonstrates its design diversity – whether for classic premium packaging or modern design concepts. The combination of brilliant colors, metallic accents, and special surfaces opens up almost limitless creative possibilities. KURZ also demonstrates its creative strength beyond cardboard packaging and labels: Solutions with metallic, semi-transparent, or holographic effects are ideal for the decorative finishing of plastic cosmetic packaging such as mascaras, tubes, or jars. Finishes that are available for virtually all types of primary packaging ensure maximum brand impact at the point of sale.

ISIMAT technologies set new standards in direct decoration

The innovative technologies of the subsidiary ISIMAT fully exploit the potential of direct decoration. The unique inLINE FOILING process enables the efficient, heat-free decoration of cylindrical hollow bodies – including holographic elements and excellent edge sharpness.

A special example of the combination of design expertise and innovative strength is provided by the multi-award-winning Koi Can, which was realized with ISIMAT technology – an eye-catcher with a signal effect. The new Digital inLINE FOILING (DiF) represents a groundbreaking advancement in inLINE FOILING technology. For the first time, 360° metallization can be achieved on cylindrical items—thanks to digitally applied adhesive directly in the transfer unit, without any upstream screen printing. The result: Metallized all-round decorations with increased production flexibility, as the freed-up screen printing station can be used for other printing technologies.

Sustainable finishing in line with the PPWR regulation

The topics of sustainability and the new EU PPWR regulation are also in focus at the KURZ stand. It introduces stricter requirements for the recyclability of packaging and presents brands, designers, and processors with new challenges. KURZ meets these challenges with comprehensive consulting on design, materials, and technology for tangible solutions in the form of high-quality, recyclable finishing. The key factor here is that the KURZ transfer process always leaves only the decorative layer on the end product, with no film or laminate. This means that its recyclability is not impaired. Since KURZ also offers the return of carrier films via its own RECOSYS^® 2.0 take-back and recycling system, finishing is more sustainable than ever.

Product protection at the highest level

In addition to visual and functional aspects, product security is also a top priority: KURZ SCRIBOS solutions provide effective protection for brands against counterfeiting. One example is TRUSTSEAL^® ID - a high-security holographic security feature that combines visible and hidden authentication functions and can also be digitally verified via smartphone. The result is a protection system that is both aesthetically appealing and technologically state-of-the-art.
