Industrial digital finishing reimagined: KURZ showcases machine solutions at Labelexpo 2025

Fürth/Germany, August 13, 2025: Under the motto ‘re:think what's possible,’ LEONHARD KURZ will present its latest machine developments for industrial label finishing at Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona. The focus will be on modular, digital operating systems that combine efficiency, precision, and the highest quality - which can be experienced live from September 16 to 19 in Hall 3, Booth D73.

DM-UNILINER 3D: Digital finishing taken to the next level

With the DM-UNILINER 3D, KURZ is presenting a powerful machine platform for in-dustrial digital 3D finishing of labels and other roll applications on the international stage. The solution combines two of the hottest technologies in a single, highly automated pro-cess: Digital UV spot coating and digital metallization – for the finest haptic effects, bril-liant metallic highlights, or matte accents.

The modular system on display allows the integration of additional process steps such as a laminating station, a flexographic printing unit for applying UV-based primers, and a die-cutting station for the direct production of finished labels.

Thanks to its industrial design, exceptional productivity, and outstanding output quality, the DM-UNILINER 3D not only increases production capacity but also reduces time to market. Converters and print service providers benefit from maximum flexibility and in-creased cost-effectiveness - a significant competitive advantage that can translate into higher ROI and stronger customer loyalty.

Interactive machine presentation: Demo tool with 360° experience

At Labelexpo, KURZ will present the DM-FLEXLINER 3D in action for the first time – in a particularly realistic environment: With the new 360° demo tool, machine configura-tions can be explored interactively and functions experienced intuitively. A special fea-ture is the ‘Interactive Instant Job Change,’ which allows applications to be changed in real time - ideal for impressively demonstrating the high flexibility and performance of KURZ systems. For an authentic application scenario, the DM-FLEXLINER 3D was in-tegrated into a Gallus One - the result of close cooperation with our partner Gallus. This allows visitors to experience digital finishing in a realistic production context.

The DM-UNILINER 3D is also part of the virtual showroom and can be explored in detail using the tool.

MPRINT: World first in compact 4C digital printing

KURZ subsidiary MPRINT is also presenting several innovations in digital color printing at Labelex-po. The focus is on two ultra-compact solutions for late-stage customization that set new standards in terms of flexibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness: The brand-new MJET^® series generation 2 - a high-performance solution for single-color UV inkjet printing - was developed specifically for the precise application of variable data to pre-cut labels. It impresses with its efficiency, integration strength, and razor-sharp results.

Also new: The MCUBE^®, a fully integrated 4C complete system for variable inkjet printing. The space-saving system is ideal for personalized content, digital product passports, serial numbers, or QR codes – nearline or as a standalone module.

Application examples such as QR codes, sustainability labels, and the integration of ValiGate^® fea-tures demonstrate the practical added value for industry and brand protection. Combinations with analog hot stamping and embossing dies from Hinderer + Mühlich can also be experienced directly on site.
