German Innovation Award 2026 for TRUSTSEAL^® ID: KURZ SCRIBOS solution sets new standards for connected product security

Fürth/Heidelberg, Germany, May 20, 2026: TRUSTSEAL^® ID, the digital extension of the holographic security feature TRUSTSEAL^® from the KURZ SCRIBOS brand, has been awarded the German Innovation Award 2026. The solution impressed the jury in the ‘Connectivity’ category and exemplifies a new generation of connected product security. It combines high-quality optical security features with digital authentication, thereby providing enhanced protection against counterfeiting, gray market activities, and unauthorized overproduction.

Physical security and digital intelligence in one solution

TRUSTSEAL^® is based on KURZ’s proprietary OVD technology. Depending on the viewing angle and the incidence of light, different visible effects are created, enabling quick visual authenticity checks and making counterfeits reliably identifiable. TRUSTSEAL^® ID now expands this physical security function with a digital component: Products can be uniquely authenticated, while the resulting authentication data can optionally be analyzed in real time within SCRIBOS 360.

This provides brand owners with valuable insights into the usage and movement of their products. Unusual authentication patterns can indicate counterfeiting, gray market activities, or unauthorized overproduction, helping companies to identify and limit risks more effectively.
