FACHPACK 2024: KURZ dives into futuristic design galaxies with TTR NOVA

Fürth/Germany, June 11, 2024: After two years, it’s time again: From September 24 to 26, 2024, top decision-makers of the packaging industry and thermal transfer printing users will meet at FACHPACK, the European trade fair for packaging, technology, and processes in Nuremberg. This year, the fair is themed ‘We Create the Future.’ LEONHARD KURZ, the specialist in thin film technology, is once again revolutionizing the market with an advancement of the proven thermal transfer technology, offering customers galactic possibilities for label marking: TTR NOVA, the ribbon with diffractive structures for futuristic designs.

“With our proven Thermal Transfer Ribbons – TTR – we already offer diverse solutions and functionalities for product marking that our customers worldwide appreciate. Our latest innovation, TTR NOVA, takes thermal transfer printing to a new level,” explains Ivo Kionka, CEO of KURZ TYPOFOL GmbH, and continues: “We are very excited to present TTR NOVA to a wide professional audience at FACHPACK and will also offer the opportunity to test this technology live on-site for the first time.”

Breathtaking 3D effects in a futuristic look

Inspired by the brilliance of a shining star, the holographic product innovation TTR NOVA gives surfaces a striking shine and special optical depth in 3D. The shimmering thermal transfer ribbons offer innovative decoration possibilities in seven design variants, suitable for detailed labeling as well as full-surface application.

Seamless integration with proven features

Despite its futuristic appearance, TTR NOVA meets the usual quality standards of TTR technology. Like KURZ’s classic ribbons, the new product line allows completely flexible and uncomplicated label design adaptation. Generating sharp, durable labels is easy, cost-effective, and efficient thanks to seamless integration into existing flat-head printing systems, without the need for additional materials or equipment. A simple ribbon roll change is sufficient.

Decades of experience with premium standards

At FACHPACK, visitors can not only explore the new product line but also gain an impression of the KURZ Group’s extensive experience, which has been instrumental in developing TTR ribbons. For example, the holographic designs with iridescent color effects are modeled after the proven hot stamping solution LIGHT LINE®. Like LIGHT LINE®, TTR NOVA enhances the high-quality character of product packaging with its sophisticated, faceted depth effects.

Test galactic designs live on-site

At FACHPACK, visitors can experience the unique possibilities of TTR NOVA live on-site. A small preview is offered by the TTR Star Chart of the innovative product family, which can be ordered now through the KURZ TYPOFOL website. According to Ivo Kionka, “With the TTR Star Chart, we take our international customers on a journey into the galactic designs of TTR NOVA. With each turn, we reveal innovative label designs in advance as a sneak peek, which can be printed as exclusive test samples at FACHPACK.”
