Creating stable supply chains: LEONHARD KURZ presents innovative product labeling solutions at LogiMAT 2023

Fürth/Germany, March 14, 2023: At the interface between packaging and logistics, product labeling is an important link that creates the basis for smooth processes. At LogiMAT in Stuttgart from April 25 to 27, 2023, the thin-film specialist will be demonstrating technologies for reliable, robust, and long-lasting product labeling, which makes it possible to communicate variable data - for greater process and supply chain security. TTR ribbons are used in a wide range of industries, from automotive through chemical to pharmaceutical. Based on individual consultations, tailor-made solutions can be developed that precisely meet the requirements of the respective customer.

The (r)evolution of product labeling

But KURZ goes one step further. Under the theme ‘Be unique. Beyond standard.’ KURZ demonstrates how hidden information can be integrated directly into the ribbons with minimal effort. The two innovative solutions TTR Unique UV and TTR Unique VEROSPEC® help to cost-effectively provide products and packaging with reliable tamper protection. After all, with both technologies even the thinnest strips of a barcode can be equipped with security features hidden in the ink of the thermotransfer ribbon. The elements with fluorescent properties only become visible under ultraviolet light. With the naked eye, on the other hand, the corresponding printed label looks like a standard label. While TTR Unique UV uses a conventional UV lamp for verification anywhere in the supply chain, TTR Unique VEROSPEC® requires a special reader.

“Our TTR ribbons are used in many industries. Accordingly, our customers’ requirements can differ greatly from one another. We always take this into account when further developing our products - because it is important to us to offer tailor-made solutions”, explains Thomas Galsterer, Sales Expert TTR at KURZ, and continues: “For example, there are hardly any limits to the design options when it comes to equipping the ribbons with custom data. In addition to the logo and company name, various other information can be integrated as needed.”
