KURZ TRANSFER PRODUCTS, L.P. INTRODUCES NEW
LASER FOIL WITHOUT VISIBLE SEAMS
Charlotte, NC (07/16/07) - KURZ Transfer Products, L.P. (KTP) introduces a new line of hot stamping foils that are missing something - shim lines! The new Light Line Select® foils offer diffractive, continuous designs without the visual shortcomings of shim lines which so often detract from design uniformity.
"The new Select foils are unique in that there aren't any shim lines,” said KTP Product Manager, Sam McElree. "Shim lines are the fine seams created during the rotative process which, until now, have not been able to be concealed,” he continued.
Laser foils with large-area spectral gradients usually tend to be very difficult in producing without shim lines. With Select foils, KURZ is employing a totally new process that avoids the visible presence of shim lines.
The proprietary process used in making the Select foils marks a technical milestone in the manufacture of holographic, continuous designs. Even designs with ultra-fine lines and filigree patterns are free from repetitive seams that tarnish the visual effect.
A range of diffractive designs are now available in Select foil versions.
